ALP 2 Food

PreProduction Notes

1.What is your intention in terms of how you plan to use the available light?

I want to use a bit of the available light and also the reflection of the neon sign for the shoe rental that says”shoes”. I will meter for the available light then do an exposure based on that

2. What is the reason for your lens choice?

(Do you want the compression of a long lens or the exaggerated perspective of a wide angle, fixed focal length or zoom)?

I want to get as much of the burger and sign reflection in focus

3. What aperture do you plan to use and why?

Maybe 5.6 or so to be able to get a bit of ambient light but also a somewhat big dof

 4. What shutter speed to you plan to use and why?

Probably a couple of second?? In order to capture some ambient light

 5. Do you have enough available light to achieve these camera settings?

We’ll see when we measure it..

 6. Do you have enough strobe to achieve these settings?

There will be plenty of strobe

 7. Do you have too much light to achieve these settings?

I don’t think so

 8. Are there any technical problems that will need to be addressed at the shoot or in post-production?

Mainly figure out a nice composition, and maybe using a gobo to block some of the strobe light falling onto the bar

 9. How will you be addressing color balance?

Will use tungsten gels and if not will deal with it in PS

 10. What is the equipment you will need for the shoot?

Profoto kit
 3 stands
Gobo
Tilt shift lens
4 extension cords (just in case)
Cybersinch 2 receivers (AA batteries)
Snoot
Magic arm
Tripod
Laptop
Small reflector

Are there any other special requirements or information

We might decide that the idea isn’t as good as thought and go with a different plan
